This meteorite represents one of the very largest known to land on Earth. it fell 3000-5000 years ago in Chaco, Argentina, leaving 12 craters and impact pits with some of the largest known meteorites in the world (this includes a 37 ton mass). Although this meteorite was first found by the Spanish in 1576, searches in more recent years have discovered pieces of the meteorite many miles away. Iron meteorites are extremely rare, as scientists estimate that only 5% of meteorites are composed of iron.
Due to the nature of this item, no two are alike, the piece you receive may differ from what is pictured, all meteorite pendants measure approximately 0.6"-1" in length.
