Moldavite is a gemstone belonging to the tektite group. Its natural glass formation is thought to have former from condensed rock vapors after a meteorite impact that occurred around 15 million years ago in central Europe. Moldavite can be transparent or translucent with a mossy green colour, and can also have swirls and bubble accentuating its mossy appearance. No two piece of Moldavite are identical, the piece you receive may vary from what is pictured here. All Moldavite pendants measure approximately 1.25" long.
